Training for Drivers

Health & Wellness
  • Health Engage & health Impact: Under Health Impact training, through customised diet & workout plans, fitness coaches help employees accomplish personal fitness goals. Employees to maintain weekly individual progress reports. Health engage training will help employees form interactive health & fitness groups and communities and track progress through competitive leaderboard.
  • Mindfulness training: Mindfulness training will include Yoga, meditation, breathing exercises that would help drivers be in sync with their inner self. Course covers making drivers aware of the concept of mindfulness, basics of mindfulness, meditation practice and guided imagery.
  • Substance abuse & de-addiction: Smoking is a major problem among driver populations. Additionally, a lot of drivers resort to substance abuse as well. A focus of communication can be tips to stop smoking, substance abuse as well as factual information on the effects. Beyond this, this program will look for ways to reward those that have quit or those who have never smoked at all.
  • Health & Sanitation: This training programme focuses on educating the drivers of the risks of not maintaining adequate hygiene of self and cab and the health risks associated with the same.
Corporate training
  • Communication & Body Language: This focuses on the importance of communication especially with customers to make them feel comfortable. Also trains the drivers to be culture bearers of the company they represent as well as the state they are driving in. Training program also focuses on their body language, etiquettes, importance of women safety (eg: not disagreeing to drop a woman at doorstep just because it is an extra u turn, etc), empathy (customers & fellow drivers), driving style (rash v/s stable), NOT talking on phone while driving, etc.
  • Safety & First aid: This focuses on the importance of safety and first aid while driving. Drivers need to be equipped so that they do not panic or feel helpless during emergency. Keeping a bottle of water handy for self and customers, how to make a compact first aid kit, etc.
  • Urban Smart: A driver training programme that aims to reduce work related road risks, improve safety and create long-term behavioural change; Concise, accessible training on road safety, cycle safety, fuel-efficient driving and Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs); Informing drivers of the requirements to remain compliant when driving; Focus on driving in Indian cities and vulnerable road users, including cyclists etc.

Government Schemes
  • Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima & Surakhsha Bima Yojana This is a life insurance scheme provided and supported by the Government of India. This scheme can be taken up by any individual between 18 to 50 years of age. It can be subscribed to at a minimum annual premium cost of Rs 330, with a death benefit of Rs 2 lakh to the nominee. The Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, on the other hand, will offer a renewable one-year accidental death-cum-disability cover of Rs 2 lakh at Rs 12 as an annual premium. The insured will get Rs 1 lakh in the case of partial permanent disability.
  • Sukanya Samriddhi Account This scheme is a part of the government’s Beti Bachao aur Beti Padhao movement. It was launched on January 22, 2015. By investing in this scheme, you will be eligible to annualised returns of 9.1%. The rate of returns has been since increased to 9.2% for the financial year 2015-16. The interest rate offered under the scheme is subject to revision and will be compounded every year.
  • Atal Pension Yojana This scheme is intended to provide pension benefits like social security, with a minimum contribution per month. Those who work in the private sector can opt for a fixed pension of Rs 1,000 to 5,000 that will start once they are 60 years old. Upon the death of the contributor, the spouse or the nominee can claim the pension money and the accumulated corpus. But this scheme is only for those who come under the low-income group or are not a part of the tax bracket. The scheme has been put into place to help people in the low strata of the society, like security guards, drivers or the house help.
